Park View School Curriculum
Our curriculum approach is unique. We deliver the Equals informal, semi-formal and Formal curricula. In order to ensure we are able to meet each child’s holistic needs our curriculum is designed and arranged into three pathways engage, explore and discover. While some Students may follow the Informal or semi-formal curriculum throughout the school, all students are regularly assessed using Map and classroom assessment sheets to monitor progress and guide teaching.

We have taken a great deal of care to create a curriculum specifically tailored to each child’s unique needs, as indicated in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), as well as their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) areas. To ensure that we are meeting every child’s needs, we prioritise five key areas of learning that encompass the most critical developmental domains. These five areas include Communication and Interaction Development, Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Sensory and Physical Development, and Participating in Society.
